Titan Chain Diamond Alloy Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2013 Ford Focus- Video
Speaker 1: Today on this 2013 Ford Focus, we'll be test fitting the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains with a Diamond Pattern and Square Links, part number TC1547, and this is with tire size 215/50/R17.Here's what are chains look like installed. This is an SAE Class S rated chain, which is critical for a vehicle such as this one that have very low wheel well clearances. Our built-in manual tensioner makes it easy for us to take the slack out of our chain. Our square links with the diamond pattern on our chain gives us superior traction in snow and ice, giving us the ability to accelerate and stop much better. The reason why this diamond pattern is better for traction is because it will dig into snow and ice giving you something to bite onto, so you have the traction you need in order to get moving and to stop easier.As opposed to other chains on the market, which features large links, these small links here will give us a smoother ride. The reason why having the small links gives you a smooth ride is because the chain itself is closer to the tire so you have much less of a bump that you're going over, so it's not like you're running over railroad tracks as you travel down the road. more

Glacier V-Trac Snow Tire Chains Review - 2016 Ford Focus- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford Focus we're going to be test fitting the Glacier V-Trac Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1934V. The tire size we're working with today is going be 215/55R16. If these chains don't fit on your particular tire just double check the size and then go to our fit guide to get the correct fit. These cable snow tire chains are made from a case-hardened low carbon steel. The rollers are wrapped around sturdy wire cross cables which gives a good traction in both snow and ice and assists with easy stopping and starting. These are SAE Class S tire chains which means they work well with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. They work with both front and rear wheel drives and meet the Department of Transportation requirements in all states. Now before we install our chains onto our vehicle we want to make sure we lay them out to just to make sure there's no kinks or runs in the lines. more

Today on our 2016 Ford Focus, we're going to be test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1034. Today we're working with tire size 215/55R16. If these chains don't work with your tires, double check the size and refer to our fit guide. These chains are made from case hardened low carbon steel, and they have these rollers around these wires here which makes it ideal for starting and stopping in snowing conditions. These chains meet all Department of Transportation requirements in all states, and these are SAE class S chains which means they work with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. It also comes with its own carrying case so once you're finished using them you can put them back in the case and have them in your vehicle ready for the next time. These chains we're made from case hard and low carbon steel, which will make them ideal for snowy and icy conditions. These are designed for highway use, so these are not to be used off road, and these are SAE class S chains, which means they work with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. These work on both front and rear wheel tires, and when everything is said and done and you don't need them anymore, this does come with a convenient carrying case, which you can place them inside and have them ready for the next time inside your vehicle. Today on our 2016 Ford Focus, we're going to be test-fitting the Tighten Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number TC1034. These are low-carbon steel rollers that have a ladder pattern, which provides good traction in light snow. The ladder pattern also assists with effective starts and stops, and these are SAE class S chains, which are designed to work with vehicles with restricted wheel clearance. This includes two chains and has a maximum speed rating of 30 miles per hour. When everything is said and done, you can remove them and place them in a convenient carrying bag and put them back in your car, ready for the next time. Today on our 2012 Ford Focus, we're going to do a test fit for the Glacier square link snow tire chains, part number PWPLC1134. The tire size we'll be working with today will be 215/55/16 inch. Before we start our test fit, we'll go ahead and lay the snow chain out on the ground. We want to orient where the hooks are facing away from the tires. We'll go ahead and lay it on top of the tire, and we'll connect the links on the inside edge of the tire first. Ideally, you would have a one-link difference between the inside and the outside of the tire. more

Now we'll start off our test fit by laying out our snow chain on the ground. We want to make sure that the ends are wrapped up away from the sidewall of the tire. Now we'll go ahead and lay it on top of the tire, and we'll go behind the tire and run the two ends of the cables together. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2012 Ford Focus PW1038- Video
Today we have with us a 2012 Ford Focus and we're going to be test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1038. To fit our tire chains to our focus, we're going to make sure that we have the steering wheel turned all the way to one direction or the other so that we can access behind the tire of the vehicle. We're going to set the chains over the top of the tire and try to get them as even from the inside to outside as possible. Next we're going to roll our vehicle onto the chains, you can either go forwards or backwards so that we can get the tire over the chains and get our ends where we can connect them. We'll fit the stops through the one end of the cable chain through the hooks on the other. You want to make sure that you match each side stop for stop or you're within one stop. more
